Mayflower Turns 21 This Year!

Back in February 1988 in Billericay, Essex, Mike Allison started up a telecommunications company which would supply and support a range of leading-edge communication platforms and applications.

Billericay is closely linked with many historical events, one of the most notable being its association with the Pilgrim Fathers who were said to have met there prior to their voyage to the New World on the Mayflower.  In fact, the town of Billericay in Massachusetts was established in 1655 to commemorate the origins of some of its first settlers, who came from Billericay.  As a result, Mike decided to name his new business Mayflower Plc.

The intervening years have seen our business grow from a small, local company into an organisation with more that 120 staff in five locations around the UK, and with expansion into Europe now on the roadmap. During those 21 years, we have also aligned ourselves with a number of key telecoms manufacturers, the most prominent of which is Avaya.  We work closely with Avaya to deliver tailored solutions which are designed to meet a wide range of business requirements.

More recent developments have included our new partnership with the Excell Group (please click here for more details) and the launch of Support Telecom, a service which aims to reduce our customers' phone bills to zero. For more details on this please click here.

These new initiatives strengthen Mayflower's position as one of the UK's leading providers of voice and data solutions and applications - and firmly set the foundations for the next 21 years!
