Fixed Cellular Terminals

Customers large and small are becoming increasingly aware that their monthly or quarterly telephone bills are predominantly made up of landline to mobile costs, due not only to calling their own employees but also to calling customers and suppliers. These days it is often the case that a mobile phone number is the preferred method of contacting someone - as it is usually the number that can be best relied upon to enable us to make contact most quickly.

Depending on your call provider, landline to mobile rates can cost anything up to 21p per minute – and as such, it is not surprising that your phone bills can quickly become extortionate. With FCT technology we are able to route the call that you make from your office over a mobile network instead, thus enabling you to reduce your current landline to mobile costs by up to 70%.

How Do They Work?

The FCT detects when the call you are making is to a mobile number and automatically routes it through a Sim card in the FCT and out via the GSM networks. This allows you to take advantage of mobile network providers' call bundle packages (such as O2 Max and the like) in exactly the same way as you would for your normal business mobile traffic. Other calls pass straight through the FCT and onto the fixed line network as normal.

Introduction to Models

Analogue FCT

The FCT connects to your telephone system by either a dedicated Analogue Extension Port or an Analogue Trunk Port.
Option of a dial-through unit.
Enables one user to send or receive SMS messages (networked software available).
Remote callers can call into the FCT and route their call to a person or a department by dialling the relevant extension number - or this can be done automatically.
The FCT logs all calls which are made into and out of it, for analysis purposes and comes complete with system administration software which can also be programmed and interrogated via GSM.
Siemens GSM Modules embedded in the products ensure call quality and reliability.

Mayflower currently offer two Analogue Fixed Cellular Terminals, depening on your call volume:


EasyGate
Easygate is a compact FCT for connection to an analogue trunk port

  • Capacity for one Sim card allowing one call at a time only.
  • Enables one user to send or receive SMS messages (networked software available).
  • Sensor circuit with automatic SMS alerting.
  • The FCT comes complete with system administration software which can also be programmed and interrogated via GSM.

Omikron


Omikron is a modular FCT that can support upto eight analogue lines.

  • Unique dial-through feature means that no direct ports from your telephone system are required to connect the FCT.
  • Modular in growth, the system can provide capacity for between one and eight Sim cards, allowing up to eight simultaneous calls to be made.
  • The system can turn individual Sim cards off when their minutes capacity has been reached, ensuring that high over-tariff charges are not incurred.
  • The system can intelligently monitor the minutes which are left on each Sim card and supports "rollover minutes".
  • Enables one user to send or receive SMS messages (networked software available).

ISDN 2 Fixed Cellular Terminals

The unique dial-through feature of this FCT means that no direct ports from your telephone system are required to connect the FCT.
Two different versions are available with capacity for either one Sim card, allowing one call at a time only - or capacity for two Sim cards allowing two simultaneous calls to be made.

Intelligent SIM Management ensures optimum cost savings by distributing calls between both channels dependant upon the type and volume of sims installed
• The optional dial-through technology means that there is no need to have spare ports available on your PBX and no requirement for PBX configuration to be changed
• The dial-through version has 4 x ISDN 2 interfaces (2 x NT, 2 x TE) which means that all calls to mobiles are captured across connected lines

ISDN 30 Fixed Cellular Terminals

BlueStar (PRI) FCT
This option also offers the same unique dial-through feature as the ISDN2 / BRI FCT, meaning that no direct ports from your telephone system are required.
Modular in growth, this FCT can provide capacity for between two and 16 Sim cards, allowing up to 16 simultaneous calls to be made.

BlueTower FCT
The BlueTower is Wavelink's entry-level PRI FCT, which has all of the functionality that is associated with the BlueStar and StarGate products. However, BlueTower is a very cost effective option for the many businesses which have ISDN30e lines installed, but have a much lower landline to mobile spend.


StarGate (PRI)
FCT This option also offers the same unique dial-through feature as the ISDN2 / BRI FCT, meaning that no direct ports from your telephone system are required.
Modular in growth, this FCT can provide capacity for between two and 30 Sim cards, allowing up to 30 simultaneous calls to be made.

All ISDN30 FCT's support the following features:

  • Four Sim slots per Siemens GSM Module provide you with the flexibility to route calls via O2 to O2 or Vodafone to Vodafone and so on - or to support many different Sims on different tariffs.
  • Eight Sim slots per Siemens GSM Module can be provided as an option.
  • The system can turn individual Sim cards off when their minutes capacity has been reached, ensuring that high over-tariff charges are not incurred.
